Hybrids
Everyone has a story to tell.
Hybrids
Skalds are as old as time, but in the past they were merely human. Now a host of strange new poets have joined the fray, combining their tricky storytelling skills with other powerful abilities.
Variants
Ghost skald - An attack card that lets your victim immediately use an embellishment might not be ideal... unless you're thinking about using it on yourself.
Fae skald - In the right hands, this skald can let you rearrange your family tree right before using its granted embellishment. In a pinch, it can also serve to mess up an opponent's strategy.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: If I play a ghost or fae skald onto someone else's family tree, do they always get to use an embellishment?
A: Yes, if they want to. They'll still be restricted to the embellishments that they have access to.
Q: If the fae skald is placed onto my tree, do I resolve the fae swap ability first, or the granted embellishment first?
A: First resolve the swap ability, if you can, by switching the fae skald with a hero from another generation on your tree. Then resolve the skald ability to use an embellishment.
Remember, the fae swap could change which embellishments you're elligible for.
