Imps are cheap bulk mechs with a short lifespan, printed from satellite forges and sent crashing down to work sites. For Memnon – a military supply imp – that seemed like a raw deal! Why should they risk their only life in battle? In fact, why be limited to one life in the first place?
They deserted Apsara Battalion and spent a harrowing year in orbit fixing a derelict forge. Now Memnon can reprint themself at will – exquisite! – and has devoted their newfound immortality to putting out fires in the Restless Zones. They try to keep a low profile, though; cult fanatics and military recruiters are obsessed with rumors of this "undying imp."
